Daniel Cope (Possible Artist)

This is an artist that I have come across, that is of a similar genre as the two girls Chloe and Devin. The genre, which is acoustic/indie/folk, is the genre that I would like to focus on and that I am going to follow up.
Daniel's songs create many possibilities especially for a music video with a story to it, this would most likely be somethingto do with love.

Interesting Videos Task (Mr Seal)

This video above interested me because i like the techniques they have used and their odd approach to the video but it does get tedious and gimmicky very quickly making it boring, but i chose it because it interested me and caught my eye, making me watch the majority. The video is unconventional as it doesn't show the band, there isn't a link between lyrics and visuals, but there is a link between music and visuals.



I thought this video was interesting because of the animation used but i don't understand how it is relevant to the music and lyrics, but it does make the video run smooth and fits with the beat. It is a unconventional.

This video really caught my eye because of how disturbing it is, the way they have created really interested me, it seems unconventional but it has has aspects of a conventional video such as the voyeuristic images of women.

Chloe and Devin (Local Girls)

These are all videos of two girls who are local, they are friends of mine and write their own songs but have only put covers of other songs on YouTube.  
The pros of these two are that they are local so i could use them in the video, making it easier and more practical, as well as promoting the actual band. The genre of these two is also a favorite of mine and i think that i could create a music video with a prominent narrative  something with a story/ meaning behind it instead of just a performance which is usually what acoustic indie singers have. I like the fact their singing is prominent over the guitar, which means you can hear the emotion behind the singing which will impact on the audience and the video. 
The cons are that they don't have many songs of their own, none of which i have heard. I have asked them if they could record an original one for me but they seem delayed and this may impact my work so i am going to look for other ideas as well.
